Party Branch of the Foreign Expert and Talent Services Department Held the "Impression of Longgang ● Innovation in Shenzhen — Foreign Experts Celebrating the Spring Festival" Themed Party Day Activity

　　Upon the traditional Spring Festival, Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province (Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of Guangdong Province), Science, Technology and Innovation Commission of Shenzhen Municipality (Shenzhen Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs) and the People’s Government of Longgang District have jointly held the " Impression of Longgang and Innovation in Shenzhen — Foreign Experts Celebrating the Spring Festival" themed Party Day activity to extend the season's greetings to foreign experts in Shenzhen. Altogether 15 foreign experts serving at colleges, research institutes, hospitals and enterprises from eight countries including Russia, Germany and India gather at the Twenty-four Histories Academy to share their wishes for the new year. Li Huilai, Deputy Director of the Science, Technology and Innovation Commission of Shenzhen Municipality and Director of the Shenzhen Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, Ping Yuan, Deputy District Mayor of Longgang District People’s Government, and officials from the Longgang District Science and Technology Innovation Bureau and Longgang District Human Resources Bureau as well as Party members from the Party Branch of the Foreign Expert and Talent Services Department participated in the activity.

　　The foreign experts visited the 300-year-old ancient structure, the Literature Chamber of the Twenty-four Histories Academy, and put on folk costumes in different styles. They experienced the traditional Chinese clothing courtesy, wandered through the corridor that showcased the traditional Chinese culture, visited Dongpo Book Store and Du Fu Book Store to appreciate beauty of ancient Chinese poems, and watched performances of zither playing and Song-styled tea brewing. They were also immersed in the beauty of traditional Chinese culture in calligraphy and seal carving.  

　　Li Huilai extended the festive greetings of Wang Youming, Director of the Science, Technology and Innovation Commission of Shenzhen Municipality, and hers on behalf of the Science, Technology and Innovation Commission of Shenzhen Municipality (Shenzhen Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs) to the foreign experts and appreciated their contribution to Shenzhen's sci-tech innovation and friendly exchange with foreign countries. As the national pilot city of high-end and professional foreign talent identification standard, Shenzhen has set up workstation for foreigner’s work permits in seven districts and sub-districts, and hold the Conference on International Exchange of Professionals annually to constantly improve the management of foreigners working in China and the service for foreign experts so as to promote international cooperation on innovation and talent exchange. Ping Yuan extended her wish for foreign experts to better feel Longgang's appeal through the activity and added that the Longgang District will further promote the development of electronic information industry, bio-pharmaceutical industry and low-carbon new energy industries, make the most of science education and talents of Shenzhen MSU-BIT University and Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, enhance sci-tech innovation capability and invite more foreign experts to settle and live in Longgang District.
